Demos from T3

Below are links to some demos from the ClanRing Tournament 3. I've tweaked them a little so that, if you download and use a special player model (147 kB) for watching them, each player on a team will have a distinguishing visual characteristic. This works especially well if your computer can handle viewing demos in the higher vid_modes. I use 360x480 in normal (non-GL) Quake, and that works for me.

New demos will appear a day or so after ClanRing publishes them.

Instructions:

Below are step-by-step instructions on how to use the custom player model. You don't have to use it, but if you don't, all players on a team will appear identical (as usual). Note: GLQuake users viewing these demos without using the custom player model as described below may see annoying warning messages. If you are a GLQuake user that really doesn't want to mess with the custom player model, then, ummm, why are you at this page? Go get the un-tweaked demo from the T3 site. If for some reason that's not an option, you can probably get rid of the error messages by using "-game ctf" on your Quake command line (assuming you have CTF installed), which will however have the interesting side effect of putting some of the players in CTF skins.

The Demos:

Here are links to the demos and team rosters. The "rosters" links show how each player is marked (requires JavaScript to be enabled). Roster positions are chosen at random initially, although once I've given a player a certain position he/she will keep that position in subsequent matches if possible.
